Hello everybody, sorry for my long absence in posting. It's been a very busy semester for me, but it's almost over now (less than two weeks). I just wanted to share some pictures of Barack Obama and Bill Clinton I took during their respective visits to Grinnell. The Iowa caucuses happen in less than a month, so the whole state is swarming with presidential candidates. Barack Obama visited Grinnell last week and Bill Clinton, in support of Hillary Clinton, visited yesterday.
(I've added some more pictures to my second Australia album that I linked to in my previous post).
I'm back home safe and sound in Ohio after a nice couple days spent with Tini and family earlier this week, and now I have time to write about my last week in Australia.
Back again after another week. Before I begin, I created another photo album with pictures from the past week and a half, available here. Let's start where we left off, then, on Tuesday of last week. Jesse had work in the morning, and school started for Lucy that day as well, so Polly drove Kirsten and me to Parramatta, a western suburb of Sydney, and home of the Parramatta River, which runs all the way down to Sydney, the harbor, and the ocean.
(Sorry it's taken me so long to write this, but I'm kept pretty busy here every day, and the longer I wait then more things need to be included...)
I finally got some pictures uploaded. You can browse through my album here. Anyone can comment on them and full view is available if you click on the provided link.
I'm going to begin another travel report now, so look for it soon.
We arrived in Sydney on Friday evening after flying all day. We flew with Qantas from Los Angeles to Sydney, and they tried very hard to make the fourteen hour flight pass quickly. I ended up watching two full movies and many television shows on their "in-flight entertainment system" and enjoyed the numerous snacks and meals they provided. Despite these attempts at distraction, we were still very glad to get off the plane.
