Im Heimkino gibt es in unregelmäßiger Folge die verschiedensten Filme. Wer mitschauen möchte, einen rechtzeitig geäußerten Filmwunsch hat oder sogar einen Film mitbringen kann, ist willkommen.

Wenn nicht anders vermerkt (z.B. BD, HD, DVD), dann ist es eine PAL-Fernsehaufnahme (720 x 576, anamorph, Breitwand 16 : 9, mit Stereo-Sound), ohne Werbung. Filme in noch niedrigerer Auflösung sehen wir normalerweise nicht. Soundtracks mit weniger als 7.1 Kanälen werden immer mittels Dolby Pro Logic IIx in ein 7.1-Signal hochkonvertiert.

Fernsehaufnahmen haben deutschen Ton oder in seltenen Fällen deutsche Untertitel. Filme mit englischem Originalton (meist von DVD oder BD) sehen wir mit diesem und ohne Untertitel. Filme mit japanischem Originalton sehen wir mit diesem und mit englischen oder deutschen Untertiteln.

Fernsehfilme sind mit TV gekennzeichnet.

Sowohl Termine als auch Filme sind Vorschläge und noch nicht endgültig festgelegt. Wenn du einen Film gerne sehen möchtest und einen Terminwunsch hast, sende mir bitte eine Mail, auch dann, wenn der Film schon für einen anderen Termin geplant ist. Wir versuchen dann, den Termin zu verschieben.

Normalerweise beginnt der Film um 20:00 Uhr.

Besonders lange Filme, ab ca. 3 h, lassen wir oft schon um 18:30 Uhr beginnen und kündigen dies auch hier an. In diesem Falle gibt es gegen 20 Uhr eine Pause und ein kleines Abendbrot.

Es ist immer gut, uns so früh wie möglich Bescheid zu sagen, wenn man kommen will. Popcorn smileyWenn sich kein Gast ankündigt, dann starten wir den Film manchmal schon früher, ab 19:30 Uhr, entscheiden uns spontan für einen anderen Film oder sehen gar keinen und verschieben den geplanten Film auf einen anderen Tag.

Fr 2012-01-27 Rise of the Planet of the Apes "Planet der Affen: Prevolution" (2011) Science-Fiction. HD. Sound: 5.1 English. A rather improbable story, but very well made. B. – At the story's heart is Caesar (Andy Serkis), a chimpanzee who gains human-like intelligence from an experimental drug. Raised like a child by the drug's creator, Will Rodman (James Franco) and a primatologist Caroline Aranha (Freida Pinto), Caesar ultimately finds himself taken from the humans he loves and imprisoned in an ape sanctuary in San Bruno. Seeking justice for his fellow inmates, Caesar gives the fellow apes the same drug that he had taken. He then assembles a simian army and escapes from the sanctuary, putting man and ape on a collision course that could change the planet forever.

So 2011-01-29 Two Lovers (2008) Joaquin Phoenix. Gwyneth Paltrow. Vinessa Shaw. Sound: 2.0 German/deutsch. Somewhat moving, but weak story. Good actors. B. – Leonard Kraditor is a burned-out case, living with his immigrant parents after his fiancée left him, helping out at their Brooklyn dry cleaners, taking photographs, at loose ends, suicidal. In quick succession, he meets two women: Sandra, the daughter of his parents' business associates, frank, direct, sensual, Jewish like Leonard; and his neighbor Michelle, mercurial, rootless, fun, blond, unattainable. Michelle is in love with a married man and cries on Leonard's shoulder; Sandra wants to save him. Is Leonard willing to risk losing Sandra's fidelity for the moments Michelle's moods swing toward him? Can this end well?
Mo 2011-01-30 Neulich in Belgien "Aanrijding in Moscou" (2008) Belgium. Romantic comedy. Sound: 2.0 German/deutsch. Pleasant, funny, entertaining. Excellent directing and acting. Feels very real for the most part. B. – Matty is a 41-year old troubled married woman. Or, as she puts it, her husband is going through a midlife crisis, her oldest daughter is in puberty, her youngest daughter thinks she's in puberty, and her son can't find his way into puberty. And, after an accident when leaving the parking lot of the local supermarket, her car needs a repair. To her surprise and disbelief, the 29-year old driver whose truck she hits (Johnny), comes back to her and repairs her car, after which she invites him to her family lunch.
Di 2012-01-31 Valerie (2006) Germany. TV. Sound: 2.0 German/deutsch. Realistic and intense, but slow and has almost no story. C. – Like all inspired artists, writer-director Birgit Möller makes us see something we think we know in a new way. Her first full-length feature is a case study of homelessness in a present-day metropolis, but seen through the eyes of a jobless fashion model. She had it all and she had it all and then she had some more, as Martin Amis famously put it in "Night Train". But as a twenty-something, Valerie is yesterday's news in an industry obsessed with youth. A teenage brigade of up-and-coming new faces takes over, and Valerie fast-forwards from riches to rags, finding herself out of work and out of money more or less overnight. Her fancy Jag with the yellow lights and French plates is held hostage by the underground parking lot of the luxury hotel she was once a regular at. Birgit Möller's direction is musingly paced and positively minimalistic. Fine performances by Agata Buzek, one of Europe's most graceful on-screen smokers, as Valerie, and Devid Striesow as her knight in not-so-shining armor. Too bad, Birol Ünel's part, a photographer you can't help liking despite his exploitative behavior, is so small.

Mi 2012-02-02 Boy A (2007) UK. Drama. HD. Sound: 5.1 German/deutsch. A bit slow. A bit too many clichés. Still convincing. B. – A young man is released from prison after many years and given a new identity in a new town. Aided by a supervisor who becomes like a father to him he finds a job and friends and hesitantly starts a relationship with a compassionate girl. But the secret of the heinous crime he committed as a boy weighs down on him, and he learns that it is not so easy to escape one's past.
Fr 2012-02-03 Harry Potter und die Heiligtümer des Todes - Teil 1 "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" (2010) BD. Sound: 5.1 German/deutsch. Confused, haphazard story. C. – Voldemort's power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore's work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord. But little hope remains for the Trio, and the rest of the Wizarding World, so everything they do must go as planned.

But as the mystical Deathly Hallows are uncovered, and Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle begins and life as they know it will never be the same again.

Sound: DTS 5.1 English. – In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth—something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Kandahar "Кандагар" (2010) Russia. DVD. – Actually a documentary action movie. And a stressful one, though you can wait for a happy end just like in "Flight of the Phoenix" (2004). Good make-up, good playing, showing a war-time situation. Baluev did an outstanding job. Sound could be better, sometimes you even can't clearly hear the whispers of the heroes.

The story takes place in a part of Afghanistan under Taliban control. Some moments of murder remind us that war is taking place there. This movie teaches that if you have an aim you must go to the end, otherwise you lose. And if you are a little group in surrounding of a majority, you should keep together. It's a very brutal movie, very truthful and realistic.
Metropolis (1927) Science-Fiction. Black & white. Director: Fritz Lang. HD. Sound: 2.0 music. Restored version, including the parts recently found in Argentina. 2:25 h. – In a futuristic city sharply divided between the working class and the city planners, the son of the city's mastermind falls in love with a working class prophet who predicts the coming of a savior to mediate their differences.

My Sassy Girl "Yeopgijeogin geunyeo" (2001) South Korea. DVD. Sound: 5.1 German/deutsch. – Based on a series of true stories posted by Ho-sik Kim on the Internet describing his relationship with his girlfriend. These were later transformed into a best-selling book and the movie follows the book closely. It describes the meeting of Kyun-woo (Cha) and an unnamed girl. Kyun-woo is shamed into assisting the girl because the other passengers mistakenly think she is his girlfriend. Once he helps her, Kyun-woo develops a deep sense of responsibility for her which enables him to tolerate (somehow) the girl's abuses.
Ip Man Zero "Yip Man chinchyun" (2010) Hong Kong. BD. Sound: 5.1 German/deutsch. – It is about around Yip Man's resistance against invading foreigners, along with his romantic relations while under the tutelage of three Wing Chun masters.
Ip Man "Yip Man" (2008) Hong Kong. BD. Sound: 5.1 German/deutsch. – A semi-biographical account of Yip Man, the first martial arts master to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun.
Ip Man 2 "Yip Man 2" (2010) Hong Kong. BD. Sound: 5.1 German/deutsch. – Ip Man 2 is a 2010 Hong Kong biographical martial arts film loosely based on the life of Ip Man, a grandmaster of the martial art Wing Chun. A sequel to the 2008 film Ip Man, the film was directed by Wilson Yip, and stars Donnie Yen, who reprises the leading role. Continuing after the events of the earlier film, the sequel centers on Ip's movements in Hong Kong, which is under British colonial rule. He attempts to propagate his discipline of Wing Chun, but faces rivalry from other practitioners, including the local master of Hung Ga martial arts.
Nokan – Die Kunst des Ausklangs "Okuribito" (2008) DVD. Sound: 5.1 German/deutsch. – Daigo Kobayashi is a devoted cellist in an orchestra that has just been dissolved and now finds himself without a job. Daigo decides to move back to his old hometown with his wife to look for work and start over. He answers a classified ad entitled "Departures" thinking it is an advertisement for a travel agency only to discover that the job is actually for a "nokanshi" or "encoffineer", a funeral professional who prepares deceased bodies for burial and entry into the next life. While his wife and others despise the job, Daigo takes a certain pride in his work and begins to perfect the art of "nokanshi", acting as a gentle gatekeeper between life and death, between the departed and the family of the departed. The film follows his profound and sometimes comical journey with death as he uncovers the wonder, joy and meaning of life and living.
Des Hauses Hüterin "Half Broken Things" (2007) UK. TV. Sound: 2.0 German/deutsch. – A middle aged house-sitter meets two tearaways, and together they form a surrogate family.
Ashes of Time - Redux "Dung che sai duk" (1994) Hing Kong. Taiwan. Sound: 2.0 German/deutsch. – Ou-yang Feng lives in the middle of a desert, where he acts as a middle man to various swordsmen in ancient China. One of those swordsmen is Huang Yao-shi, who has found some magic wine that causes one to forget the past. At another time, Huang met Mu-rong Yin and under the influence of drink, promised to marry Mu-rong's sister Mu-rong Yang. Huang jilts her, and Mu-rong Yin hires Ou-yang to kill Huang. But then Mu-rong Yang hires Ou-yang to protect Huang. This is awkward, because Mu-rong Yang and Mu-rong Yin are in reality the same person. Other unrelated plot lines careen about. Among them is Ou-yang's continuing efforts to destroy a band of horse thieves. Oy-yang recruits another swordsman, a man who is going blind and wants to get home to see his wife before his sight goes completely. The swordsman is killed. Ou-yang then meets another swordsman who doesn't like wearing shoes …
